| Sandman is a Silver Dapple Buckskin Stallion born here May 2, 2009. He is out of our mare J.K.'s Sissy and our stallion Mountain Do Rock. Sandman is double registered: Rocky Mountain Horse and Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse. Sandman will make a wonderful stallion for anyone looking to produce some outstanding foals in the mountain horse breed He has been color tested and the results are: E/e - Both Black and Red factors detected A/a - One copy of Agouti N/Cr - One copy of Cream N/Z - One copy of Silver Sandman's color genetics are such that the colors he can produce are almost limitless. Since he carries both the black and red gene he has a 50/50 chance of producing palomino as well as all the black based colors. Since he carries one agouti there is a 50/50 chance it will be passed on. Carrying only one copy of silver makes him safe from ASD while still having a 50/50 chance of producing silver based offspring! Sandman's color is not the only striking thing about this up and coming stallion. He also carries outstanding bloodlines. His Dam is a direct daughter of Sam Clemon's Tim and also traces back to Yankee. His sire traces back to Maple's Squirrel and Kilburn's Chocolate Sundown. If you are looking to breed some of the old foundation lines he will make an excellent stallion for your breeding program. |
